Avra Synthesis is a part of the Avra Group of Companies started by Dr. A. V. Rama Rao, an organic chemist of international repute. An increasing number of International Pharmaceutical majors are outsourcing their Contract Research and Custom Synthesis work to various companies in India. Availability of quality organic and inorganic chemicals for research is a major constraint facing these companies to meet timeliness. Most of these chemicals need to be imported. Avra Synthesis offers a wide range of fine chemicals of Laboratory/Reagent Grade catering to the needs of various segments involved in research.

Avra Synthesis' catalog has been put together and will be upgraded using input derived from leading academic and industry-based scientists. The catalog comprises of specialty compounds required for Research and Development activity in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry.

In addition to the above items, we also have a range of Aliphatic, Aromatic Chemicals & Pyridilines, Pyrazines and other Heterocyclics commonly required for Pharma Research. These items can be offered from gram quantities to kilogram levels in the same purity for use in research and scale-up work. We will offer special pricing for bulk requirements for taking up pilot plant/kilo labs as well.

Our products find extensive application in areas of organic chemistry like Medicinal Chemistry, Asymmetric Synthesis, etc. which serve as the building blocks in new drug development.

Facilities

Avra Synthesis will operate out of an exclusive facility comprising of warehousing space of about 20,000 sq. ft. The integrated facility will have the following:

a) State-of-the-art QC facility for analysis of all coming materials
b) Packing facility for packing from 1 gm. pack to a few kilo packs
c) Storage facility with different temperature range from -5 ^oC to ambient temperatures
d) Suitable material handling facility.

The facility is located in an industrial area of Hyderabad and can deliver products to most of the laboratories in South India within 24 to 48 hours of ordering. The new facility is under construction, scheduled to start by early 2008.
